Before purchasing index cards, check your printer to see what is the smallest sized index card it can be configured to. Some printers will not print on the 3″ x 5″ cards. If this is the case, you can still print on the larger 4″ x 6″ cards.

The aspect ratio of a 3x5 print is 1.43 The following image sizes would also have the same ratio, and would print without cropping on a 3x5 prints: 1000 x 699, 2250 x 1573, and 3500 x 2447. The longest side divided by the shortest side = 1.43.

How many index cards on a page?

To print flashcards, you will need to use an app like NoteDex (Best method) or a text processor like Word (not as great, complicated). Using NoteDex you can create flashcards on both sides of the virtual paper and then print them out double sided on real paper using a printer that supports double sided printing.
To print an index card, load the index card so that the printing side is facing up and the top edge is toward the back of the printer. 3. Slide and align the paper guides with both sides of the index card.

Total cards = 20 cards (length) * 12 cards (width) = 240 cards. So, 240 cards can be made out of a sheet of paper measuring 324 cm by 144 cm.
When you compare the 4×6 photo to A4 size paper, the A4 size paper is almost double the size. The exact dimension of an A4 paper is 8 ¼ x 11 ¾ inches. So, you can print one 4×6 image on A4 paper and chop off the blank sides. You can also place two 4×6 photos and print them together on the A4 sheet.

Select "Breaks" and choose "Page" to add blank index cards to your document. Type the information you want to appear on each card. Note that every odd-numbered page begins a new index card, for example, pages 1 and 2 will print on a single card, and pages 3 and 4 will print on a different card.
Print multiple copies on a sheet
Click File > Print. Under Settings, click One page per sheet, and then choose Multiple copies per sheet in the list. Select the number of copies that you want in the Copies of each page box.
